What is the idea about Hull's habit strengths?

Pavolv

What is the role of mental processes in humans for the research of Pavolv. I found the spot in the book talking about that, but I didn't know exactly what you wanted us to know about that?

For the diagrams on the test, the only one that you would add extra information is the Information Processing one right?

On the Exam

A few additional points to help you prepare for the exam:

1. I will NOT be asking questions on the discussion and activities prior to our work on Chapter 1. The material on the exam will focus on Chapters 1, 2, & 3 in Driscoll. Any handouts given during the discussion of these chapters may also be included. In addition, online resources I used are viable material for the exam; all of these are on the class web page. However, you are NOT responsible for supporting resources on the web page (i.e., materials I did not use in class).

2. Use your outlines to help focus your study.

3. With regard to chapter 1- I did not address the "Leaning in History" section of the chapter in class (pp. 10-15). Consequently, this material will NOT be on the exam. The rest of the chapter is viable material. Pay particular attention to the discussion of Ebbinghaus, Thorndike, Pavlov, and Gestalt theory. 4. The diagram on page 45 is viable but I would NOT require you to include the examples on the bottom line of the figure.

I realize it may be difficult to take these comments seriously while looking at this picture but a little humor can help you to "relax" a bit if you are getting worried about the exam. This photo was taken at Parkview Middle School a couple of weeks ago. Middle school teachers have an interesting sense of humor. The wig belongs to one of my long-time colleages, Scott Conradt. Scott is a great science teacher who has a haircut similar to mine.
