I believe teachers can be very influential to a student. A teacher can help a student fulfill their dreams by teaching them what they need to know to succeed, or a teacher can crush a students hopes by not preparing them for the next level. To be effective, a teacher needs to know a student's personality and capability. Even if a student is not a good learner it is the teacher's responsibility to do all they can to help the student catch up with the rest of the class. It is also important for a teacher to not only know the information they are teaching, but to understand how to communicate with his/her students so they can understand it as well. I know I will have plenty of students who are smarter than me but they won't have as much information as me, therefore it is my responsibility to share with my students everything I know, and not be bitter or jealous if they are more advanced than me.

I believe that teachers help students understand and apply material so they can succeed later on in life. I feel that teachers need to use different learning techniques to meet the needs of each students learning style because not every student has the same learning style. However, when in comes down to actually learning the material, it is up to the student to be motivated to learn.

This I Believe

I truly believe that the most important part of being a teacher is the ability to make a difference in the life of a child. Not only is it the job of a teacher to ensure learning of material in their students but also to teach them how to learn and to be inspired themselves as well. When you really think about it, teachers have an amazing opportunity, everyday that they spend in a classroom. Children, especially those in elementary school, are usually very excited and enthusiastic about going to school and learning. They look up to their teachers and absorb everything they see, hear, and experience. We as college students were once those young kids. Many people will go on to be doctors, lawyers, secretaries, etc, but its interesting to think that now we as education majors will be the ones teaching the future generations in our society. We have the power to inspire them and teach them to grow up and become whatever they want to become. I believe that teaching is also about understanding and accommodating to the individual differences and needs of the students while engaging them all as a whole class. Teaching is really not just a profession that anyone can just choose as their job. I believe that in order to be a true and effective teacher, one must be passionate and enthusiastic about inspiring the minds of the children that they are teaching.

To me, a teacher should be someone you can trust with your life; a teachers is someone who gives you life. A good teacher will give you everything needed to get to wherever your dreams can take you in life if you just allow him or her to. A teacher is someone who isn't in it for the glory or the fame because glory and fame very rarely happen for teachers. Very few teachers have achieved fame and fortune, but all of them should. They do more for the world than most for less than nearly all. Teachers are there to help people become who he or she is destined to be and make sure that that person is as prepared for whatever life throws at him or her as humanly possible. Teachers should be trusted and even more, they should be trustworthy. They shouldn't look down on the people they are teaching, they should help people be able to see eye to eye with them. No one ever said the job was easy but luckily, there are many people out there who are willing to give it a go. All of these people are great and courageous and should be given credit for all the wonders of the world.

I believe that each child is unique and therefore all deserve an equal chance at learning no matter what their circumstance. As a teacher this would require me to make sure each child understands what I am teaching and if they don't, find some other way to make sure they do.

I believe that passion is a major aspect of teaching. A good teacher has a love for the subject matter they are talking about and their enthusiasm pours out to the students. The excitement a teacher portrays can often lead students to strive to learn the subject matter. I have found in my experience that teachers who had such a passion inspired me in many ways. I also believe that teachers teach more than mere factual information but also life lessons. As a teacher, I believe you are required to be a good listener and support other students opinions. You are also required to help all students to succeed. This means that teachers sometimes have to change the way they approach teaching certain material so that ALL students can learn.

I beleive that learning is the purpose that all of us are put on this planet for. Thus good teachers pave the way for the rest of our lives not only by teaching us reading and math and science, but by teaching us to learn. By teaching us to learn from our experiences in life teachers allow us to grow and progress through life. Our parents give us life, great teachers give it meaning.

As a teacher I believe that a teacher should take the time and get to know each student and learn how that individual learns. One should approch a new lesson with each student in mind. Also by making the lessons intersiting you will get the students to pay more attention. A way to make a lesson intersiting may be relating the subject to a life event.

I agree that no student should be left behind. If a student is struggling with a certain subject the teacher should take it in their hands to make the individual understand it how they can comperhend it.

I believe that teachers have a personal duty to go above and beyond the requirements that are set in place for them. I think that in order for a teacher to be successful they must be open-minded and enthusiastic, while maintaining boundaries for their students. This is important due to the fact if a teacher does not show excitement this eventually reflects on the students’ attitude towards school. In addition, I feel that trust is the foundation for a thriving student/teacher relationship. A teacher may establish trust by believing in his or her own students and by showing respect at all times towards their students. When teachers maintain high expectations of their students, the students want to prove that they can succeed and ultimately exhibit respect towards their teacher.

As a teacher, I believe it is my responsibility to effectively educate and engage all of my students; to give them equal opportunities and chances to succeed in my classroom regardless of gender, race, religious beliefs, family situations/status or orientation. To have the most positive affect on my students, I believe it is essential to look at each individual and meet them at their level to help each child make gains and reach their potential academically, socially and emotionally. As a teacher, I need to convey the message that all children can experience success and that I care about them as individuals and as learners.

It is my hope that my students will gain a love and a thirst for lifelong learning, continually learning about themselves, others, the world around them and the resulting interrelationships. I believe that learning is a continuous, lifelong process that does not stop once you have a diploma, the first job, an established career, or reach retirement.

I believe that teaching is a profession in which I could wake up everyday and feel like I am making a difference in the life of a child. I feel like I have been so blessed in that I have received an excellent education. I hope to give to others the same strong foundation I had. I know not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good education, and I hope to change that, even if it is on a small level. I also believe teaching is a challenge. My dad is a teacher, and I have seen him endure some trials. However, I have also seen him change for the better since becoming a teacher. I believe that teachers can inspire their students to reach for the stars and achieve all their goals that they set. First of all, I truly believe that technology is an enemy and I really struggled getting this thing posted. Geez.

I believe that the most passionate teachers become the most successful. The reason you should enter this field is a pure and simple love of the work itself, not for any sort of monetary benefit. Knowing that you're having an lasting impact on the lives of children is more important than the number printed on a paycheck anyway...but I think we can all agree that teachers are grossly underpaid. If I can catch a baseball I get 80 million dollars a year, but if I spend all day molding young minds and preparing the future I get about 100 times less than that? What's fair about that?

I believe teachers never get enough respect for what they do.

I believe that teachers influence lives in ways they can't even imagine. I still remember the name and face of every teacher I've ever had, starting with my preschool teacher when I was 3 years old. It is important to keep in mind that what we are teaching will be used again and again throughout the child's life, especially for teachers at the elementary level. Since I want to teach kindergarten or first grade, I know that I am laying a foundation for the rest of their educational careers. Kids must master the basics before they can move on from them to more complex ideas.

I believe that parents play an integral role in the classroom, but that we must not allow them to dictate the way that we teach. In the end, it is their children we're truly concerned with.

I believe that, like it or not, to be a teacher is to be an entertainer. Laughter is an essential part of a classroom environment.

What I Believe

I believe that teachers, while underappreciated, have an important profession and a daunting task. Not only are they charged with teaching the three R's to children, but they also have the responsibility of reinforcing the ideas of respect, perseverence, a strong work ethic, integrity, and the like. This is an enormous responsibility, and can have negative consequences if it falls in the wrong hands. That's why it is important for parents to have direct collaboration with teachers in these matters; to see that their children learn these lessons and can contribute to society. On the subject of learning, I believe that a teacher must strive to use different mediums when they try and teach. That is, they must use audio and visual techniques to try and play to the strengths of their pupils, because not everyone learns the same way. In doing this, a teacher also figures out how to change with the times and adapt to different groups of students.

I Believe...

I believe that along with an adults influence in the home, that a teacher is an extremely important part in a child's life. A teacher should be one who strives to help each individual student arrive at completing the necessary tasks. Some children learn in ways that others cannot, and I would hope that I could find a way in which to help everyone. I believe that no matter who the student, or what their background is, that everyone should be treated fair, and with respect, because everyone is unique in their own way. A student should feel comfortable in their atmosphere, in a way that they do not feel stupid or ashamed to ask a question in class. For me, knowing that a student feels comfortable, means I have done well as a teacher. I want children to grow and become independant people in the world, and people grow by learning from their mistakes. As a teacher I would want the atmosphere to be entertaining, and enjoyable, but to remain on task. Most of all, I want the students to have fun and I would be happy to see their smiling faces in the classroom.

Teaching to share

I believe that the statement "those who can--do; and those who can't do--teach" (Anonymous) is a gross understatement of what teaching means. Teaching is not the lack of ability, but the thirst to impart knowledge on one another. I believe that "the mediocre teacher tells, the good teacher explains, the superior teach demonstrates, but the great teacher inspires" (Anonymous). The great teacher asks questions that will make the student think or act in a new way. It is also the job of a great teacher to give students the tools and resources to think for themselves. My wish is to someday be a great teacher that will not only inspire, but leave legacies.

This I Believe

I believe learning is one of the most important and intruguining adventures in life. The capacity to learn is limitless. The opportunities to learn are continuous. The ways in which we learn are complex and simple at the same time. Learning is a lifelong experience with no boundaries. Therefore, teachers are vital in perpetuating thought and encouraging others to constantly analyze, decide, question, affirm, or disprove. Education is the foundation of life and there should be no limit to who recieves an education. I believe that everyone should have a fair education and that people should focus on schools that may not have all the resources that a better off school would have, so that the children at the lower income schools have the same chance at getting the same education as the better off schools. I believe that a teacher must take on various roles during their career to meet the needs of individual students. To one student a teacher may be a leader and can teach that student the leadership skills they have learned through their own experiences to help the student succeed in a role they are partaking in. To another student, who is shy and struggles forming relationships and making friends, the teacher may serve as a friend that the student can count on to always be there for them. A teacher must also serve as a trustworthy adult that children go to when they need help with daily problems and are seeking advice. The most important role of a teacher though, is to create an environment that meets the needs of all their students and to teach their students both the conceptual facts and lifelong lessons they will need in order to become successful individuals both in the classroom and in the future to fulfill any aspiration a student may have. A teacher must provide opportunities for students to connect with the teacher and for the teacher to connect with the student. It is important for teachers to learn new information from the students just like the students must learn new information from the teacher. A teacher must always remember that motivated students will likely be more successful in classroom, while enjoying the class topics and gaining knowledge about the course at hand. A teacher is in charge of molding a student’s future, and each positive opportunity a teacher provides that student with will help them be successful in life, regardless of the career path that student might choose.

This I Believe that other than being educators, teachers are role models for not only younger children but high schoolars and college students. Teachers provide a sense of community in the classroom and a good teacher makes the student feel comfortable and be able to be themselves and aspire to become not only the best student they can be but also the best person possible. Teachers have many different roles in the lives of their students including instructor, disciplinarien and friend. A great teacher is not only one that cares about how you do in their class or in school but truly cares and is sincere in how the rest of your overal well being is.

Teaching is probably one of the greatest professions out there. I feel that a very huge part to being a teacher, is not only to teach others, but to learn from them. Teaching to me is a give and take profession. One needs to have an extremely open mind to being a teacher. To me, being a great teacher not only means preparing the students for that particular subject, but preparing that student for life. Being a great teacher, is being a great listener as well. I believe that to be a great teacher, you have to think like your students. Take a look from their perspectives, relate to them. The lessons have to fit the students' needs and understanding. Then, they will get the most out of the lessons of the teacher. Each student is different and the teacher must realize that they can't treat the class as a whole, but as individual students with different ideas and styles of learning. Each generation is different; the student's generation experienced different things and views the world differently than that of the teacher. However, the teacher is the students' window into the previous generation that they too have to relate to to survive in life. Mainly, I believe that the teacher can not separate themselves from their students, believing that they are better and more superior to their students. It is easier for students to show respect to a teacher that respects them as individuals. Teaching is a learning experience of itself. Many times the teacher has just as much to learn as the students themselves.

I believe teachers are essential tools in leading their students to be better, more knowledgeable people. Teachers are the stepping-stones to a successful future for all adolescents and the lives they choose to lead. It is the job of our youth to take all they have learned and grow and prosper throughout their lives. Not only do students need to be successful, but good teachers and educators also need to continue to learn each and every day from their students and peers. Teachers and students come in all shapes, sizes, and ages, but all are unique and have something special to teach the rest of the world!

Teaching in my opinion isn’t so much a profession, but rather a way of life. One can claim that veneration comes from degrees and qualifications, but in my somewhat limited experience I would contest that the best teachers, have been the ones who have lived a well-rounded life and can relate to their students as well as the situations that befall them. Teachers who seek only knowledge in their field in my opinion are the weakest ones. Where they might be able to impart upon the student all there is to know about their said field, they have not succeeded in procuring the student's respect or interest; therefore the student will have no motivation to remember what the teacher has taught. Certainly a love, passion and energy for the subject displayed by the teacher is paramount, but a well rounded person makes the best teacher. Knowing all you can about all there is to know is the best way to go into teaching anything,and not only makes a sublime teacher, but an intersting person, being able to draw memorable analogies then make learning relatable and exciting for the students.

This I believe...

I believe that teachers need to assist students in becoming more excited to learn through enticing activities that provoke learning, while moving and interacting throughout the classroom. Worksheets and tests are not enough. Teachers need to face the fact that children need to be more involved in the classroom. Students should be able to participate in new activities every day. Diversification is the key. How can children be provoked to learn when they are presented with new material and similar homework problems every day? They cannot. The creative juices of children need to start flowing. This can happen with a fresh approach to teaching. I think that teachers should be collaborating on lesson plans and sharing ideas. The more diverse ideas for a curriculum, the better. Children can become excited because they do not know what new, exciting, project with be implemented in the classroom next.

The person (in both cases) must be willing to accept failure, and find a new stategy to accomplish the goal at hand. It most likely will not come with try number one and persistence is a must. I believe one can change the world through education whether it be by learning and moving up in life or teaching and bringing a child to be the best he/she can be. So many things can be changed through education. The cycle of poverty can end, the understanding of others and their culture can lead to more acceptance, ignorance will not cause problems, and people can truly be the best they can be. I also believe that education can not happen with just the student or just the teacher, but must consist of them working together for this common goal, and even then that may not be enough....parents, counselors, coaches, etc. should also take a part in encouraging education. With this the teacher can be the best he/she can be and the student can be the best he/she can be.

A teacher is there to help their students through any struggle they may be dealing with. Although each student is an individual, a teacher will treat each child with the same level of respect. Teachers listen to their students and find the child's individual needs without making it seen as though they have picked favorites. A student looks up to their teacher, asking for advice and searching for answers. Any teacher can teach history or math, but it takes a real teacher to teach life lessons. Every child grows with the knowledge given to them by a teacher. This helps them through speed bumps they may hit on the road of life. A teacher is a building block to life, helping their students in every way they possibly can. I believe that a teacher is the most rewarding job you can ever come by.

This I Believe

Teaching in my opinion isn’t so much a profession, but rather a way of life. One can claim that veneration comes from degrees and qualifications, but in my somewhat limited experience I would contest that the best teachers, have been the ones who have lived a well-rounded life and can relate to their students as well as the situations that befall them. Teachers who seek only knowledge in their field in my opinion are the weakest ones. Where they might be able to impart upon the student all there is to know about their said field, they have not succeeded in procuring the student's respect or interest; therefore the student will have no motivation to remember what the teacher has taught. Certainly a love, passion and energy for the subject displayed by the teacher is paramount, but a well rounded person makes the best teacher. Knowing all you can about all there is to know is the best way to go into teaching anything,and not only makes a sublime teacher, but an intersting person, being able to draw memorable analogies then make learning relatable and exciting for the students.

Teaching and Learning Importance

I think that learning is an essential thing in your life. During your life you never stop learning. Everyday you learn something new that impacts your life. Learning is essential because you need to be able to understand and comprehend the new things that you learned. The teachers are the most important aspect of your learning experience. They are a vital tool to your success in life making them a very important role in your life. Learning and teaching go hand in hand and they are both so important to everyone's lives. By having someone teach you something, you have someone to lean on and support you and by being able to learn you are advancing your education making your life that much better.

This I Believe....

I believe that teachers must strive to create an environment in which a student feels safe, secure and most of all one filled with laughter and fun. Although children must obviously learn how to conduct themselves properly in a classroom, I feel that they must be allowed to express themselves openly and have a blast doing so! As an educator I would love to create an environment that is enriched with endless opportunities to learn and show the students that learning can be one amazing adventure! After all, the teachers that we remember the most from school are those that create these such environments.

This I Believe

I believe that teaching is not only about the students and what they are learn, but what the teachers are learning as they teach. Teaching is not only educating the students based on the curriculum, but teach the students lessons dealing with different situations in life, manners, and help them find the person that the student truly is on the inside. Teachers in the early childhood stage make such an imprint on their students because many teachers in that grade are the child’s role model. In ever age group in teaching, teachers are always there as support and guidance for the children.

This I Believe

I believe that being a teacher is a crucial role in preparing the next generation to be the future world's leaders. For the next generation to be prepared, the teacher should challenge his/her students to the best of his/her ability in order to draw out the best of that student. Each student is a different person with individual needs that the teacher must consider when reaching the minds and hearts of each one. I feel that a teacher should also strive to make the classroom enjoyable and comfortable so that the children will have the confidence to participate and try new things for themselves. I find it interesting when students are compared to being a mound of clay that through life experiences are molded into something beautiful, and a teacher has a larger part in the construction of the final product.

This I Believe...

Teaching is a part of the foundations of our lives. From young on we are taught not just the reading and writing, but about life and how we are to one day join the world and make a difference in it. Without the right beginnings, our lives can become meaningless and unfulfilling, we won't want or have the know how to be a part of our community or contribute to society. Learning is never ending. We continue to learn more about ourselves and the world we live in as we go through life and the teachers we have can make all the difference. I believe that teachers for all grades and activities play pivotal parts in our lives and help to shape us into what we become in the future.

This I Believe

Teaching is the vehicle through which one can help the most valuable source of life on earth - children. I believe that society depends on the education of its children. A teacher has the daunting mission and incredible privilege to create a new generation of creative, insightful, and intelligent individuals. An education that not only maintains high academic standards, but also nurtures the whole child and instills honest values gives every student an opportunity to succeed. When compassion pours from teachers and pumps through a school, students are empowered to discover a life-long love of learning. This thirst for education is an instrument of positive change that cannot be replaced or overlooked. It is the world's greatest investment.

This I Believe

I believe that teaching is the profession from which all professions stem from. Teachers are people with whom everyone comes in contact with at some point in their lives, which can't be said about many professions. Without teachers, there would be no doctors or accountants or any other profession. Without passing knowledge on to others, the knowledge would be wasted. Teaching can be as general as sharing life lessons with others and letting them learn and grow from our own experiences. I think that letting other people know about what you yourself have already learned, you are passing on extremely valuable lessons.

This I Believe:

As an educator, we are granted the privilege of preparing individuals for life. We must cement the basic, factual subjects; however, there is unspoken criteria stating we must provide the general mold of a respectable person in society. Through this, students may develop their own unique character. Human beings learn from their own experiences, and teachers must strive continuously to create unforgettable ones. An atmosphere consisting of a love for learning and knowledge is necessary for a successful learning environment. A teacher should begin each day with an unfaltering desire to guide their students along life’s best possible road. I believe teachers have the opportunity to influence every one of their students. It is essential to not forget the undeniable power a teacher has!

This I Believe

I believe teachers have one of the most important roles in a child's life. Teachers are involved with a child on a day to day basis almost as much as the parents are. I believe teachers are not only there to teach a certain subject and assess if the children know that subject, but to help their students turn into good citizens and future adults. Teachers help mold children and with that teachers must always be flexible. All children are different and don't learn in the same fashion so I believe teachers always have to be willing to think of new ideas for their students and help the students learn to the best of their ability. Teachers need to nourish children's minds in a way that will keep them interested and wanting to learn. If a teacher doesn't cater to a students needs I believe that teacher isn't doing their job and that that child will not be achieving to their ability. Teachers have a very important job that many people overlook, but even with all the challenges of this career I believe it is one of the most rewarding jobs out their.

Teaching itself is not set in stone. There are requirements to be followed but teachers should not live in only the required material. They should go beyond the boundaries to teach their information in ways in which students can fully understand and appreciate. Learning is not a road with a dead end. Learning is our greatest privilege we have and everyone should cherish what we know and welcome what we don't.

This I Believe

I Believe that teachers learn as much from their students as the students do from them. Teachers have to be passionate about what they are teaching, or students are learning no more then they would by teaching themselves. Teachers should be mentors, confidents and friends, but still have to be a leader and adult. The bond between teachers and students is different then any other, and should be held to high esteem. Teachers are what shape the minds of our future, but the students decide what to do with what they learn.

This I believe...

I believe that the most important factors in a teacher include understanding, involvement, and being resourceful. Through teaching at a personal level and understanding that concepts will not be understood at first glance is a key factor. Allowing questions and study groups are also a must as the only dumb question is the one not asked. Also a teacher with as much involvement as a student has a profound effect of school spirit and personality.

I believe as a future educator, my goal is to take advantage of the gifted children by helping them expand their knowledge. By doing so they should ask questions and show the student(s) that they want to help. Also, teachers should involove their students in order to make the class more interesting and some what fun. In my opinion, class should not be all lecture because it is important to hear other viewpoints to help one gain the understanding of a certain subject. Lastly, I believe teaching should provide positive reinforcement in order to gain confidence and strive to do better on everything.

I believe teaching is not only about motivating students to learn, but teaching them how to learn, and doing so in a relevant, meaningful, and memorable manner. Teaching is about having a passion to inspire others, and conveying that passion to everyone. I believe teaching is about listening, questioning, and being responsive and remembering that each student and class is different. It is about pushing students to the limits to excel in the game of life. I believe this is teaching.

I believe that teaching is an art that only a few can fully master and truely enjoy. Teachers must be able to incorporate many different aspects of life within one setting to optimize the learning atmosphere for the students. For education to be effective, the teacher and the environment within the classroom must be welcoming and exciting. If a student feels intimidated, uncomfortable or unwelcome, the teacher's ability to teach not only that child but the rest of the class is significantly diminished. I believe that a teacher has to have a passion for teaching and for their specification within the education field because if the excitement is absent from the teacher, the respective students will not want to learn. Excitement, like smiles and happiness is contagious and if the students cannot sense the excitement, it will reflect on their participation and overall performance within the classroom. Teaching is challenging, but if one isn't willing to accept that challenge (within any profession), the students suffer. I believe that we are the teachers that will change the generations to come and if we cannot accept the challenges that teaching presents, we are only hurting our future.

This I Believe...

I believe that as a teacher we must promote an environment for learning that is comfortable for all students and that encourages learning. I feel that every child must be given equal opportunity for success. I think that every child has the ability to learn and that it is our job to figure out what methods work best for the children because not all kids learn that same as each other. I also believe that it is necessary to have patience and persistence.

This I Believe

I believe that a good education is the foundation of one's life. I truly believe that it is because of the inspiring teachers I have had throughout the years that I decided to go into education. I think that teaching is one of the most rewarding professions that a person can have. I believe that it is so amazing to teach a child on a particular subject and watch them comprehend the subject and grow before your eyes. I also believe that there is more to being a teacher than teaching about math and reading, I believe that a teacher also shows their students how to use their knowledge outside of the classroom and teaches their students important life lessons. I think that it is so important for teachers to make learning interesting so that it is something that the students can look forward to. A truly great teacher can have the ability to teach their students to enjoy learning regardless of the subject matter. I believe that it is a teacher's responsibility to challenge students to work to their full potential, but be there for them along the way to help and encourage them.

This I Believe

I believe a teacher should explain and not tell. They should know the information they are giving out and love what they are teaching. Passion in a teacher inspires passion in the students being taught. Teachers should not preach If the students do not want to learn it, if they are dead-set agianst it, they will not learn no matter how much they are scolded and told what to do. They must be persuaded to love and want to learn in creative and unique ways that interest the specific students involved and in ways that keep up with current trends and views. Teaching can be an art, not just a job.

This I believe...

I believe that teachers need to teach something that interests them so that they can make it interesting for their students. But I believe more importantly that teachers need to teach their students how to think and to think for themselves. The greatest teachers I have had taught me more than just math or science but taught me how to think and taught me how to improve my life. I believe teachers need to be available for students at all times. I believe that teachers are one of the greatest mentors children have and that teachers have one of the strongest impacts on their students. I think that teachers are under rated and seen as given an easy job with summers off and holiday vacations. When truly I have never met a teacher who said that their job was easy.

- Teachers must nurture and help each student to their highest potential.
- Teachers need to create an environment in which students feel comfortable but still respect the teacher's authority.
- Teaching should be modified regularly to enable the teacher and students to have renewed interest.
- Teaching is not simple. Not every student learns in the same manner, has the same abilities or motivations.
- Learning is different process for every individual.
- Learning is motivated by individual beliefs (self, parental, social, societal, cultural, etc.).
- Everyone is capable of learning.
- The extent to which someone learns something is directly correlated with how much effort they have exuded in trying to learn it.
- The more one learns, the better prepared they are for the world.

This I believe

As a teacher... I believe I need to listen to every student, so that I am able to discover each students strengths and weaknesses, so that I am able to help them succeed to the best of their abilities.

This I Believe...

I believe that education is the most valuable gift one can give to a person. It builds one's identity, beliefs, perspective in relation to the world in which one lives. It is important to build a classroom environment which is structured with discipline as its foundation, but it must also give a child confidence to learn to one's full potential. I believe that the work that a teacher does is very critical in the development of a child in every grade level.

...that anyone has the ability to succeed in anything they do. It just takes a certain amount of motivation, persistance, and, most of all, belief in yourself.

This I Believe...

As a teacher, I believe it is my job to educate future generations not only in academics, but also in life and morals. I believe that teachers play a key role in a child’s development. They are one of the first non-family member relationships a child experiences and it is my job as a teacher to make that experience a positive one. I believe that teachers have the ability to empower their students, but in order to do so, must also believe in themselves.

This I Believe

I believe that teaching and learning can both be challenging at times. For example, a teacher might not feel that they are doing a good enough job; or they might feel horrible if they cannot help a particular child understand something. The diffculties of learing could be obviously not understanding what is being taught.

I believe learning is something that is a gift that should not be taken for granted. Most of the towns and cities around the United States have pretty good schools for kids to go to; but in other countries there are children that are not getting any education. For those kids, learning is something that they probably do not know.

I truly believe that not everyone can be a teacher. A person might be able to do all that is necessary to become a teacher; but when it comes down to actually teaching the kids that desire for wanting to help kids learn might not be there. I believe that a teacher needs the desire to WANT to help kids learn. I am sure that teaching can be very stressful at times; but if that determination and desire is there, the stress could be channeled into something that could help make the teacher grow as a human being and as an educator.
