This I Believe...

A teacher is there to help their students through any struggle they may be dealing with. Although each student is an individual, a teacher will treat each child with the same level of respect. Teachers listen to their students and find the child's individual needs without making it seen as though they have picked favorites. A student looks up to their teacher, asking for advice and searching for answers. Any teacher can teach history or math, but it takes a real teacher to teach life lessons. Every child grows with the knowledge given to them by a teacher. This helps them through speed bumps they may hit on the road of life. A teacher is a building block to life, helping their students in every way they possibly can. I believe that a teacher is the most rewarding job you can ever come by.

I agree that teachers need to understand each student's needs and help them attain goals without singling the child out in class. This is a very difficult task that all teachers must accomplish. How a student is treated in the classroom will affect a him or her for life. There can be a positive or negative outcome. The decision is in the hands of the educator. I believe all educators deserve better recognition for their accomplishments, for they are those who shape the world.
