This I Believe...

As a teacher, I believe it is my job to educate future generations not only in academics, but also in life and morals. I believe that teachers play a key role in a child’s development. They are one of the first non-family member relationships a child experiences and it is my job as a teacher to make that experience a positive one. I believe that teachers have the ability to empower their students, but in order to do so, must also believe in themselves.

This a great believe statement. I defiantly agree that we need not only educate in academics but also in life and morals.

I fully agree with the statement that we are preparing future generations for life, as I stated in my belief blog. I never thought about the fact that teachers are one of the first adult relationship with children outside of the family. That was a wonderful point you made. :) Thank you for also bringing up that point that believing in oneself is also important throught life development.
