This I Believe...

Teaching is probably one of the greatest professions out there. I feel that a very huge part to being a teacher, is not only to teach others, but to learn from them. Teaching to me is a give and take profession. One needs to have an extremely open mind to being a teacher. I believe that it is one of the greatest professions because teachers are who build our future. To me, being a great teacher not only means preparing the students for that particular subject, but preparing that student for life. Being a great teacher, is being a great listener as well. A great teacher, creates a fun and enjoyable atmosphere that the students are excited to be a part of everyday. Everyone always says that the best years of your life are while you're a kid in school and being a teacher lets you be a part of those times in life when kids are enjoying life and eager to learn. However, being a teacher is extremely challenging and takes a great deal of hard work. But knowing that you're shaping the future and changing lives is what makes this profession one of the most important and self-fulfilling.
